Amanda Harwood, NASM – CPT
Amanda Harwood is a National Academy of Sports Medicine Certified Personal Trainer. Other certifications Amanda has obtained are Corrective Exercise Specialist and Performance Enhancement Specialist. Amanda is also NESTA Certified Boot Camp instructor and certified personal fitness trainer.
Amanda played softball at Crowder College in Neosho, MO. She also competed at the Lone Star Classic Bodybuilding and Figure/Fitness competition 2007. That same year Amanda competed and won first place in her division at the Tampa Bay Women’s Tri-fitness competition.
Between playing softball and competing in her first figure competition. Amanda had gained over 40 pounds. She tried every “quick fix diet”. It wasn’t until she hired a personal trainer who was properly educated and experienced that she able to shed the 40 pounds. It was during this time that Amanda realized what an impact personal training had made on her life. And this is where her passion began.
She has trained over 400 women, men, and kids over the past 6 years. Amanda has helped mentor, educate, and consult many people to reach their true potential. Amanda has worked with Tony Casillas, a Dallas Cowboys two time Super Bowl Champion, as a sports and conditioning coach. Together they trained over 75 club volleyball girls. She has also worked for mega gym Life Time Fitness as a personal trainer. There she received an extensive amount of hands on training.
Amanda is dedicated and passionate about inspiring others to pursue and achieve their goals for a more healthy and improved lifestyle. This is the reason Amanda wanted to bring her Personal Performance Program to Owasso. Amanda’s goal is to inspire more women (and families) to make fitness a part of their daily routine so that their children will understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
